Introducing Jean Claude the BackgammonMasters.com #1 Player...Can you beat him?

A new backgammon site has introduced the world to its newest mascot, Jean Claude, an animated tiger, who is in an interactive animation series titled 'Life According to Jean-Claude'. Jean Claude's backgammon Animated Tiger Movie illustrates the wide appeal of backgammon as a skill game, which is a well-loved game, played by all people, from all walks of life from around the world. Growing up, we played Backgammon all of the time and it was one of my husband's and I favorite games to play before we had kids. Now we are showing our kids how to play, and Jean Claude's video makes it more appealing to the younger set, as well as to the older ones who want to see a new animation series about a favorite game.

Jean Claude is BackgammonMasters' #1 player and its mascot. When you go to the BackgammonMasters site, you can win prizes for answering trivia questions about the videos and, as an added bonus, viewers can get rewards for suggesting script ideas that are used. You can also send clips to friends, which is great for getting out the word about backgammon, BackgammonMasters and the Jean Claude videos and prizes and rewards you can earn. The video series is called "Life According to Jean-Claude". It is a funny series explaining backgammon and how Jean Claude succeeds at everything from playing backgammon to chopping onions. He also shows us how he (and you too) can fulfill life dreams and make important life choices. The very first video clip is hysterical, showing Jean Claude dressed in 1970's clothing (you remember how funky they were) sitting in his trailer in the used car lot he manages. Junk cars that is. He is a real character in his bell bottoms and button-up dice shirt!!! Oh, and don't forget his dollar sign bling. (We thought we looked cool, didn't we??) He is full of himself and is proud of the streets smarts he got in the "University of Life". Quite the colorful one, Jean Claude is!!!

I have watched Jean Claude's YouTube videos and find him to be a funny and interesting mascot for the online game of backgammon. My sons and I love to play backgammon and have enjoyed watching this cartoon to emphasize its multi-generational enjoyment which is available on the Backgammon Masters site. Online Backgammon is a great skill game to play by yourself or with your kids or husband/wife. Backgammon Masters also has other games such as Poker and Perudo (Liar's Dice). You can download, in one simple download from the Jean Claude video site, all of the games above. It is like a big online gaming place for all ages and stages.

Let me know if you like this website and especially Jean Claude. He really is endearing and is a great way to allow kids to play backgammon by themselves if you are busy or want them to play more of a strategy game than Go Fish.

A Challenge and a tag

I was on Wordnerd's blog tonight and this "tag" looked interesting. I will let anyone who comes here play along and I will try to tag some of my friends who will hopefully play along also.

So, here is the challenge. The rules are pretty simple and are provided below. All I have to do is come up with six weird things about me.
Me. Weird. Go figure.

The Rules: Each player of this game starts with the “6 weird things about you”. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says “you are tagged” in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

six weird things about me

1. I stay up way too late and watch TV or play on the computer...then I sleep during the day for about one hour while Libby plays nickjr.com games next to me before PM kindergarten.

2. I don't mind blood. My DH was so squeamish when Libby had her head hit, and I stood next to her like an OR nurse helping the doctor or holding her hand.

3. I used to be a roller disco queen. Back in the day, I could roller skate with the best of them and disco out.

4. I had my first "date" in third grade with Andy W. We went to the movies and walked home on the boardwalk holding hands. We never kissed. WE were friends all through school. I think he is gay now.

5. I sometimes feel as though I am going crazy. Maybe it is the four kids, puppy, new fixer-upper house and tough-to-live with hubby, but I really think going into the hospital to get a break sometimes does not seem like a bad idea.

6. I only tried skiing once. I told everyone that if they had skis for my butt, then I would have been great. I don't think I ever got up. I think sledding or tubing is more my speed. The time I tried skiing I was in 8th grade, so it was not like it was just last year and I was an old 42 year old. I was 13. It just was not happening.

So, I guess I not that weird, but I am sure if I had to come up with more than 6 things I could do it. One other thing is I hate housework and want a maid. Any takers.
